WHY A LEVELS?
Cambridge International AS and A Levels Qualifications are internationally recognized and have the same value in admitting students to universities all over the world as their UK equivalent. The A levels programme is rigorous and demands high academic standards. In keeping with modern and international trends the programme offers highly flexible subject combinations. Students may therefore choose any combination from the wide array of subjects that suit their interest, aptitude and career ambitions. The two-year course exposes, nourishes and hones the creativity and latent potential of a student there by developing their analytical skills.
WHAT ARE AS-LEVELS AND A-LEVELS
AS grade is worth half the credit of an A-Levels grade. Most students at Malpi institute take 4 A-Level subjects and the English General Paper English which is an AS Level subject.
ELIGIBILITY FOR A-LEVEL
Students who have taken the SEE/GCSE/CBSE/ O-Levels or equivalent courses at the time of admission can apply. The main requirement is academic ability to fulfill the rigors of this challenging programme. Malpi Institute uses a comprehensive evaluation system to select a highly motivated group of students to join the programme.
SUBJECT OPTIONS FOR AN A-LEVEL DEGREE
The subjects offered to depend on the stream a prospective student intends to take up. The English General Paper is compulsory but English Literature can be taken in lieu of it. Subjects offered at A-level are as follow:

COURSE LENGTH
The A Levels is a two-year course. Each year has three terms and students are expected to perform well academically. First year students commence classes from June/July onwards.
Examination System
The A and AS level final examinations are held twice a year i.e. in May/ June and October/ November, and the results are published in August and January respectively.
Grading System
Students are required to take at least four subjects including English General Paper but they may take more than required credits depending upon their interests and capabilities. Students are assessed on a grade scale from A* awarded for the highest level of achievement, to E indicating the minimum required performance, and U stands for ungraded which means fail.
